Rashenal first started making hip hop music in High School when he was 15. Along with B-boy Miracles and Courdek, they began a crew called the Mysterious Independent Creatures. In 1999, they independently released an album entitled “Measure One”. As a crew they did some local shows and sold out of the limited quantities of this record. Due to schedule conflicts and some growing pains the crew decided to pursue solo efforts rather than a second album effort. To this day they are all still good friends and work together from time to time.
After a quick run through college, Rashenal began to create new tracks working on his debut solo LP entitled “Downpour”. He once again started working with Courdek and eventually began rolling with Avenue of the Arts (AOTA) crew. During this time they did numerous local shows and went on a few tours out of state. This was a learning experience for Rashenal and he is glad he had a chance to work with Avenue of the Arts.
While still working on his “Downpour” LP Rashenal also met Jelts and Idolize from another crew De La Escuela through some mutual friends. They ended up doing some tracks together and started the Wild Life Refuge crew. Since then as a crew they have been rocking many shows locally and also touring as often as possible.
Over the years Rashenal has had the chance to work with some great artists such as 2Mex, Lyrics Born, DJ D-Sharp (Quannum Projects), Q-UNIQUE (of the Arsonists) -DJ PRESTO-ONE (Rocksteady crew), DJ Steelo (Vegas), Anglo Saxon, Ohm, Courdek, Stereotyped, Central Products, and many more. Rashenal has toured all around including shows in Las Vegas, Dallas, El Paso, Santa Fe, California, and some others...
Rashenal is currently working these projects:
Full Length Debut LP entitled Downpour
Human Block EP produced by Jelts
Wild Life Refuge Debut LP yet to be titled
…and more to be added.
