"I can't count my blessing If was never given a prayer..."

If it wasnt for the art of graffiti Jelts would have never found hes stairs to step into this world of rebellion we call hip-hop. Raised by his mother and grandmother in a rural part Glendale, AZ, Jelts never really had a true father figure. Spending his weekends back and forth in between his mother and father with his older sister made it hard for him to associate with other kids. While in high school ditching classes to take strolls threw the local train yards Jelts first found graffiti art and the culture of hip hop that followed it. Over the course of the next several years he would develop a style that would end up landing him in Arizonas legendary graff crew NG (also known as Nitty Gritty). While rocking yards and city streets Jelts felt that he needed a little something more to help express his feelings and thoughts, so he turned to the pen and the pad. Threw the years of writing rhymes and rocking open mics Jelts started taking music seriously and help form his first crew De La Escuela with former members Emiliano, Idolize and Dj Casper. They began working on songs together and performing locally for a year or so until complications between members brought it to an end. Sticking to their guns Idolize and Jelts kept on working on music together and eventually started making a buzz in the music scene. While working on their upcoming EP Tomorrows Last Try Jelts recorded a track with a fellow mc by the name of Rashenal for his first solo effort Quality Junk. Jelts would end up recording the remainder of Rashenals first LP Downpour in his studio while working on the Jelts & Idolize project at the same time making things a bit tough to get finished. So all-3 mcs ending up coming together to come up with a solution to begin working on a project together, hence the birth of the Wild Life Refuge.

Through the years as an artist, Jelts has had the opportunity to work and perform with some of todays dopest mcs such as Sage Francis, Aceyalone & Abstract Rude (A-Team), Sole, Alias, Josh Martinez, Who Cares, Soundsystem Mash Hall, Psyche Origami, Drunken Immortals, Brad B, Anglo Saxon, The Feeblez and many more. His sound is not to be overlooked or under thought, it is what it is, music from the soul.

Future projects in the works for this broken artist include:

- Wild Life Refuge LP - yet to be titled
- Human Block - a 4 part 2 man collaboration project
- Sunset In The City - instrumental LP produced by Jelts
- Tomorrows Last Try - collaboration EP with wild life member Idolize
- The Big Shabang - 2x4 mix tape with fellow friend DJ Rotis
